That's true and I fully agree in this, which is why I don't fully embrace it. I am a skilled artist that can create from scratch the things I want. But I found that AI speeds up the process a lot. Unfortunately, it's young people who will mostly be affected by AI and it's not just art

Every artist works with moodboards. Everyone is being inspired by everyone. You don't have to hire someone to use an idea.

I think this conversation is making a circle. The copying has always been happening. If it's lazy, the work will be dull. You can either be creative or copycat, AI or Not. It's what process you're following. If AI can help me do what I already have in mind in half the time why not use it?

There are super-famous artists who don't even color their own work anymore and hire other artists to do this part. Or to translate their work in a medium they don't know (animation) I think we're heading to a future where ideas and concepts will matter most. Everyone can be Cr. Dir/s of themselves!

AI tools are not just prompting. There are more creative tools out there where you can train a model with your own work. Borrowing a style is something that is happening in every industry anyway (Graphic Design, Illustration, Cinema). AI just speeds this part.

I don't endorse this but hey this has always been happening. The negative thing is the speed and volume in which is happening. My point is copycats will always copy and great artists will use AI creatively and add their own flair. AI makes stealing easier, but also speeds things for real artists.
