Reading wrap-up for October is here! I almost forgot to post this 🙈 last month was not better for me in terms of my slump. 🥲 a little reading break might be in my near future. #booksky 📚💙

Women be critiquing dates harshly because they be leaving out the part where they don’t like the man. When you like a man, you like doing anything with him. Y’all be entertaining people you KNOW you don’t like.

Reading wrap-up for September has dropped!

Last month was a hard one for me. I didn't have a lot of motivation to read. At 100 books read for 2025, I think I may be starting to hit a slump.

Here's to hoping October is better. 🙈

Book 100 of 2025 was

The Last Metal by Brandon Sanderson

🌟🌟🌟🌟

I enjoyed this series. Era 1 had me sobbing by the end of The Hero of Ages. Era 2 has me excited to start The Stormlight Archives. 🎉

Double standards drive me wild. Treat others how you want to be treated. If you don't provide what you require, then you can't complain when you dont receive it.

So not surprising that the people who fetishize assault rifles kill more Americans than those who don't.

Reading "The Things We Leave Unfinished," and why do I get the sinking feeling that this book is going to emotionally destroy me? 🥲 #booksky 📚💙

Let’s make one thing clear from the start: Charlie Kirk was the victim of a shooting in a country where he, along with other right-wing extremist influencers, have been inciting violence for years. — Kirk is neither a martyr nor a hero, he is a cause.

This death shouldn’t be the one to cause you to discuss political violence, school shootings or gun violence. 18 kids were shot, 2 murdered last month, a Minnesota rep and her husband were shot dead in their home in June, the CDC was shot up last month. This is not new, this is America.

Am I the only one who finds it off strange when books use current slang? I don't hate it, but it's definitely odd. This book keeps talking about birds being robots and government spies 😂 also said she "lost the plot" earlier. #booksky 📚💙

Just finished Twisted Hate by Ana Huang. 4 🌟 I liked it better than the last two, which I think is a controversial opinion, but I enjoyed their banter. I'm excited for Stella and Christian's installment 🤩

Next up is Blood of Hercules by Jasmine Mas 💕 #booksky 📚💙

The one thing you can count on from a Kristin Hannah book is that at some point, she's going to make you cry. Just finished Home Front and, with that, marks my 7th Kirstin Hannah book. 🥳 #booksky 📚 💙

Vaccines save 2-3 million lives every year.
They are incredibly safe.

The risk of a serious adverse event after vaccination is ~1 in 1,000,000.

Context:
The risk of dying in a car crash: 1 in 100.
The risk of peanut allergy: 1 in 200,000.
The risk of dying from choking on food is 1 in 2500.
