What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

Received this for my 16th birthday and my friend Niki was all, “Kathleen, I love you, but when I asked the cute guy at the record store where to find this, he was all, ‘Oh, that’s *bluegrass*.’ “

Enjoyed the last not-terrible weather by spending an enjoyable afternoon at the zoo with my sister & my niece. My niece currently loves saying, ‘Six, seven,’ in Russian & will determinedly climb on any statue-type thing.

Breakfast for dinner is go. There will be omelettes, hash browns, toast, & sliced tomatoes. The omelettes will not occur until @spherewolf.bsky.social arrives, but I can offer a can check?

Post you from a different era.

Knew I was acquiring two copies of @maureenjohnsonbooks.com & @jaycooper.bsky.social’s new book, but somehow ended up with three?/!

Have solved my problem by gifting the copies to friends. We’re all reading it this month, and on Nov 1, we will meet to solve it together.

#ScareADay Day 4 is John Galt’s “The Living Dead”. Enjoyed reading about being buried alive & having one’s supposed corpse stolen by grave robbers(!) before a long day of college football.

Reading a rather grim but still utterly gripping mystery set in Glasgow at the moment—the first of Denise Mina’s Garnethill series.
