Coincidentally, tomorrow's both the STM CA and Municipal CA... I'm gonna go to the STM one and ask about their role in TSP implementation and point out how bad it is.

I'm calling for a moratorium on tram and BRT projects in this country until we figure out why cities are incapable to deliver effective TSP in this country.

If I understand correctly, this is due to them not being able to shorten any of the transversal pedestrian phases due to their "vision zero" initiative which sets minimum pedestrian crossing phase lengths. At least it seems to be the case.

Also an example of the current situation. It's just as bad as Finch West.

Same line, by the way

I've sent a request for information concerning TSP on the route back in August and they keep delaying it...

No one in Montreal seems to care that the Pie IX BRT has even worse TSP than Toronto...

This is a horribly written article by the Gazette (also poorly researched).
The reason people couldn't buy monthly fares is because after the 20th of each month, only the *next* month's fare can be purchased.
There's no limitation on monthly fares and OPUS cards (any opus can host any monthly pass)

I believe that provincially, no, Quebec doesn't offer mail-in ballots. Only certain groups are allowed to vote from home or from abroad, but those are exceptions.

The infamous "121 BRT" which doesn't even have bus lanes along half the corridor

Since you stated that dry runs began last week, and dry runs require the network to run according to final opening schedule, how come trains aren't continuing to Deux Montagnes?

Pisses me off how people don't just drive through the gates. They're designed to bend under the weight of a car

There's a pedestrian bridge located midway between Mount Royal station and de Liesse station, which was there before the REM and just got rebuilt

People hate biking up hills in that area, causing a constant shortage of bike availability. It's not really optimal.

Funny story about this station: When I was a kid and the train conductors were more open to letting people hang out in the operator's cabin, the train crew told me that the reason for the station's short platform is a mistake caused by the AMT sending blueprints for a bus platform instead of a train

CP doesn’t care… they own means they force
August 14, 2025 at 12:35 AM
The new platforms are actually slightly higher than the previous ones to allow for level boarding with the new cars. CP still owns the Westmount Sub and requires low platforms everywhere.

Their current PDI has the line's accessibility marked at $80 million, which seems to be covered by the PAGTCP, meaning it doesn't require cabinet ministry approval
Though they're spending $10 million on electrification studies and service increase studies...

The ARTM just confirmed that a tap-out system will be implemented on the REM, Metro and Trains for different fare zones
August 12, 2025 at 2:14 PM
