I’ve heard a couple of stories of people being refused boarding on to Northern Trains, (one of them on route to Morecombe) potentially a whole trip could be spoilt when you have campsites booked on a planned time frame for a trip

I’ve watched quite a few YouTube videos on it, even 2 old guys who did it on Bromptons and wild camped it, really looking forward to it

First part of my journey is on LNER, bike slot and ticket booked done at the ticket office, Leeds to Morecombe on Northern Trains, seat booked hopefully no grief getting the bike on, I’ve been suffering with train anxiety!
Some standardisation across the network is needed.

If you use Northern trains you can’t book a slot, you just turn up preferably with an advance ticket, on the downside you can still get refused a place at the discretion of the guard if they deem it’s too busy or there’s too many bikes. Been researching this for a trip to Morecombe for W.o.t.Roses.

I’m all set up to do this in June
