5) Unless they've stated a fee (which you can choose to pay or not), it's a nominal amount you set that you choose to pay. If you think it's not a nominal amount, you're either spoiling them (and good on you for that), or you can't afford what you're after and wasting everyone's time.

You're absolutely right. A significant element of white privilege is the ability to be seen as an individual rather than representative of and defined by ethnicity.
