Horses at Ka Lae (South Point). There used to be a row of abandoned wind turbines here, rusting away and creaking in the breeze. They've since been replaced by the shiny new ones in the background.

ʻIʻiwi at Hakalau Forest NWR. This one was dancing around in some koa and generally staying out of sight, but I managed to squeeze off a quick burst as it fluttered between branches.

A juvenile Common Yellowthroat prancing around on the edge of a wetland. I often find myself stymied by the elusive adults, who seem to appear for but a brief second before darting into the undergrowth. But these young ones seemed unbothered by my presence.
