Hi, I'm Diane, founder of Totally Historic. I'm a historian, archivist, collections manager, and librarian.
Meet librarian extraordinaire, Belle da Costa Greene. As the personal librarian of J. Pierpont Morgan and first director of the Morgan Library, Belle amassed a collection of rare books, manuscripts, and artworks that rivaled the best collections in Europe.

Admont Abbey Library in Austria is the world's largest monastic library. Completed in 1776, it's ornate AF because its art and architecture are late Baroque. The library has 70,000 books, but the abbey's total collection is about 200,000. So. Many. Books!
