NOVID (still), COVID-conscious, DC-area based. 🇺🇸 🇺🇦
As someone who lives near DC, I used to get common replies when sharing my location in meetings like, "That's great." Since January, those replies are often, "Sorry." Given the current US administration's penchant for renaming things, I'm tempted to rename DC the District of Chaos.

While there seems to be some level of peace happening in Israel today with the release of hostages, there's a part of me that expects the Israeli government to bomb any Hamas celebration in Gaza.

If Trump wanted to force Putin to the table, he should show actual "peace through strength" by enforcing a no fly zone over Ukraine. Then ramp up NATO around Kaliningrad and fix Obama's error and take Crimea off the table. That might get him the Peace Prize he seeks.

TACOs don't get the Nobel Peace Prize for giving the aggressor everything it wanted.

President Harris wouldn't have bombed Iran without Congressional approval.

There's no art in any Trump deal.

Golden Dome? Was Golden Missile Shower already trademarked?

Trump didn't have a plan for if he won. Sadly, the Heritage Foundation had a plan. Trump just used that. I predict a Reagan-level forgetfulness at a future trial.

If Trump scraps the 22nd Amendment, which limits any person to serving a maximum of two terms as president, I want Obama back.

Today's Horrible Hypothetical: Trump decides to start focusing on dismantling the Constitution, likely starting with the 22nd Amendment, which would allow him to run for a third term. Or it could start with the 14th, which would not be good.

Everyone's freaking out about the Trump and Zelinskyy deal today. What was the actual deal that was offered?

The only change I'd like to see in US government today is the removal of daylight savings time.

Today's horrible hypothetical: Hegseth removes women from the military. As they comprise over 15% of US armed forces, Trump calls for a draft, which Congress approves. US men aged 18-24 are asked to report to a local Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) for mental/physical/race evaluation.
