I'll worry about good or bad, success or failure, when I can see the whole picture. Until then, I'm here to be entertained, and maybe hopefully entertain a few others in turn. Even if interacting with this fandom feels like playing handball with a grenade sometimes.

Ultimately, I'm here because Viv and co have a story they want to tell, and I want to hear it. And sometimes that means getting smacked upside the head by a twist I didn't expect. But isn't that the fun part of hearing a new story? A new idea, what a delight!

A lot of people (or maybe just a few very loud people) seem to be very attached to the story they wrote in their heads, and very mad when the show doesn't match it exactly. No one's taking your fanfic away, pal. You can just stop watching at any time and have your own au. It's fine.
