It came when I needed it most. Right now, in this moment. When I needed to remember that all my fighting for my life has actually birthed an unquenchable fire and unstoppable power within me. That IS within me. Have courage, oh heart. This isn't the end of my story.

It held my soul - the very fibers of my young self - with the most sacred form of gentleness and compassion. And in turn reminded me exactly of who I've become. That movie heals. It's a balm for the soul and an invitation to rise and to love with ferocity.

It put me in touch with parts of my story that not many throughout my life have seen. Very young and tender parts.
And that movie held them in ways that gave permission to see and feel them again.
