And here’s some stuff about opening day (Sound Transit always goes all out on these events.)

There will be a bunch of programming at my station organized by Project Feast which gives culinary training to immigrants to get them into the job market.

The three new stations are : Kent Des Moines, Starlake and Federal Way Downtown.

This is an extension of the main line south of SeaTac airport.

The station my sibling Eroyn Franklin and I worked on for 6 years is Starlake which is right on the border of Kent and Federal Way.

Screen print lead me to public art. I can’t always use screen print in but the way it taught me to build images is integral to everything I make. I have a digitally printed frit piece made of around 340 windows in a lightrail station that opens in 2 weeks all because I was bored at a crap job.

I’ve worked in shops from dusty warehouses to world class facilities. I got to flock glitter for Ghada Amer in Singapore. I’ve printed wallpaper and circuit board images that powered LED lights. I’ve worked commercially with screens the size of a VW Vanagon.

I’m actually in my print shop right now waiting for a screen to dry to print some fun stuff for a client.

And I’m still learning. The check from this print job went into a bunch of powdered glass (frit) I’m going to use to screen print and fuse in the kiln as tests to help students soon.

Yuuup. And if we can stop spending ungodly amounts of money on a ramped up houseless sweeps schedule and a pointless graffiti war that would be amazing. Even better if she can get rid of SODA, SOAP and those cameras that Renton just found out were being shared with 🧊 without their knowlage.

Really glad we have a new city attorney too. Hope they can slash some terrible programs that were pushed through the last few years…

When I saw the times in victrola this afternoon saying it was pretty much happening I knew it was gonna be a good day. Was bummed that the times ticker doesn’t work any more so I couldn’t keep checking out the window at work. But eventually someone sent me that they called it!

They’re a bit pricey but Logi makes some great ergonomic ones you can program! I have different profiles for Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Baulders Gate 3 and it’s lovely that it just knows which program it’s in and weather the side wheel or the top wheel or the 6 programmable buttons do what.

I was responding to someone who said they would be continue to be produced through next year which is not what I was seeing anywhere in the news, hence linking to this article that says they are the final minted ones. Doesn’t matter who gets em if they’re not being made anymore…
November 13, 2025 at 3:39 AM
No today was the last day of production. But yes they are still legal tender.
