Ja, die Schuldenbremse ist ein krudes Instrument, aber ohne dieses haben Regierungen immer einen großen Anreiz den Weg des geringsten Widerstands zu gehen und den Haushalt über Gebühr mit FK zu finanzieren. Zur Evidenz siehe Jahrzehnte-lang steigende Verschuldung im Verhältnis zum GDP

Genau, deswegen meinte ich auch eine Verschuldung über Gebühr. Leider hat die Erfahrung über Jahrzehnte gezeigt, das viele schuldenfinanzierte Ausgaben halt keine produktive Investitionen waren, sonst wäre die Verschuldung im Verhältnis zum GDP nicht kontinuierlich gewachsen.

Juristen sind nur dann involviert, wenn man versucht Regeln zu biegen. Bei einem ausgeglichenem Haushalt würde sich niemand beschweren 😉. Gerade in Koalitionsregierungen ist der kleinste gemeinsame Nenner ja meistens einfach Wohltaten zu verteilen, insofern hat die Schuldengrenze schon ihren Zweck.

Fully agree, but best way today is to see it as an intern to come up with a first draft - that alone has already meaningful value. Going forward and with more inherent context information (eg access to your emails etc), the quality is only going to improve

Yes this whole crypto hype was pretty weird, but it lacked all / much social utility. The same cannot be said with AI

Yes, but Google does not write speeches, summarise documents, draft emails, give personalised healthcare advice or personalised travel advice. Not saying it’s all great, but it’s going to improve further…

Yes, but AI is going to develop further and be embedded into many products and processes. Not hard to see it revolutionising sectors such as education and healthcare

I think with ChatGPT you see the huge disruption potential that AI is poised to bring. It’s already so powerful in many ways and is only going to become better.

Huge investments are being made into renewable energy by the private sector. These happen mostly because it makes good economic sense. And we need more technological innovation to make it even cheaper and affordable (which will manifest itself as economic growth!)

Growth is enabling the roll-out of renewables and the circular waste economy (recycling), and the overall energy transition. If we stop growing then we are not going to solve the environmental problems.
