Gloves? Latex, nitrile, or even cloth? Hands moisturized and books unexposed to skin! Win-win?

There are cloth gloves intended to wear at night w/ moisturizer for it to soak in (presumably). They insulate well: I wear w/ nitrile gloves over when I have to handle hot food directly (hot potatoes.)

I wish I could handle more than my one. Whew.

Sorry but I totally cannot begin to fathom people who do not understand that a game takes years to build (wether consecutive or concurrent). If a creator is talking about it for years, that’s normal. And if you’ve invested years of your life in something, of course you talk about it for… years!

Adobe should have been disassembled / nationalized in the late 90s and literally every year since I have only grown more convinced this was, is, and will be a correct assessment.

That is quite the fun plot. I’ve definitely thought about vector field averages before but never with this kind of clarity

What was the likely target of these growls?

I see two “nearby” stars with their characteristic diffraction spikes. Seems likely the upper left has gravitational lensing.

The overlay noise seems fine; that we get to see it at all is a little surprising. For this kind of instrument you can either subtract or average it away

Ooooh one of the tech tree upgrades could be multi-column edit! Like a tractor!

It did take me a VERY long(relative) time to figure out to delete things to harvest them.

What’s up with the box on the play field?

Could make a little sell-buy economy

Very cute! Are the T supposed to be trees? I moved a few around. little a could be apples!

Would be funny to use ascii box characters for fences and gates. I kinda want cows??

I would definitely have played this for a few minutes if there was a mobile interface; I’m excited to poke at it later at a computer!

We need other media outlets to make fun of them. “Ridiculous panic nonsense from Fox yet again, entertainment and outrage, not real news.” Idk

Someone needs to say to his face “your whining is pathetic” on a live feed

Ooooooh I see, it’s just loading most of the water vapor down there; so that actually doesn’t have to be clouds… you could add one more threshold when the temperature drops a little and visualize that as cloud?

This is so cool

Thanks!!! Is it on a sphere? Is that why there’s the behavior along the bottom

This is soooooo awesome.

Yeah my first thought was “oh those are BIIIG mountains” but you did say there were numbers to tweak
December 11, 2025 at 12:55 AM
Idk, I’m blathering, I have no idea what I’m talking about

As the game proceeds, it’s typical to tighten the required control bandwidth; if this happens too fast or starts too tight, that can easily yield excessive frustration. As gaming pop ages, likely the best avg tightening trajectory will change as well, which could lead to more mismatch?
December 10, 2025 at 10:23 AM
I wonder if it’s a control bandwidth convergence problem.

If the skills were easy to learn & execute, then no one would complain. If they’re too hard to learn then the game is unplayable.

As one plays more, skill improves (up to a point), so the demands to meet precise values tighten.
