Here's Imp. He, or a sibling, turned on the kitchen faucet last night, and the water was running I don't know how long. Fortunately, in climbing onto the windowsill, the culprit kicked the faucet onto the cold setting and the stopper was not in the sink.
Prime youngster catting!

I came across this book while doing research. Are there any practitioners out there, who can save the world?

Here are Elf and Imp, Imp (black and white, front) getting to be a beefy boy even though he's just shy of five months. Their older brother Duncan, born last year, is in the background. Elf and Imp are the two from the litter who remain hissy and run away from contact.
This is Sprite. She was born in May, and should be five months old by the end of September. I didn't know how I was going to catch her before she matures to the dangerous age, but the weather surprised her with "cold", and she came inside voluntarily, along with her brother Pixie.
I've watched the first season, and it's great! Streaming media is a big user of data centers, that take billions of gallons of cooling water, and are so dangerous to the planet. Lots of entertainment is available on DVD or CD. Watch offline, and don't transmit data.

A video showed up in my YouTube feed, and this phenomenon was something I had never seen in any account of the Columbia disaster. Whatever the cause, it's sad and strange.
I didn't save a link, but it's from WFAA in Dallas, Texas (why the time given is Central Time)

The Bobfather.
Shot thru the screen so as not to disturb them, since they're all pretty feral. Feral Bob (his proper name) is over 10 yrs old and has survived plenty of fights, and fathered dozens of kittens, no doubt. This year he's keeping a guard over his family.
This is either Sprite or Pixie. They both have a dark tabby pattern, and may both be girls. The other two are Elf and Imp, one mostly black coat, and one black and white, and these two may be boys. They're about 8 weeks old and their mother Bertina hasn't completely weaned them.
I discovered that rainwater collects in the flower, just where it has black markings. The closeup shows the reflections of the water. Maybe oriental poppies attract pollinators by luring them with a drink.

My Vagabond clematis, and a yellow columbine, with colorful foliage in the foreground, and a visiting cat.

A closeup from a picture I took, of a crab spider on milkweed, imitating a new flower. The flowers do have spiky parts jutting out when they first appear. The camera flash seems to have illuminated the eyes and some leg spots. (Spider: What the hell?)
