What has that got to do with the dept of Ed?

While it has its function, the dept of Ed only came into being in the late 70,'s. I was completely finished with my education by that time, and I received a fine education. Not certain how essential it is. It may be just another level of bureaucracy that is not necessary

As a lifelong democrat, I must admit that we have been ineffective at times. But the reason for such a huge difference in the generic ballot is that Republicans have been downright draconian. And it turns out most Americans don't like that.
