Looking down into a sea of mirrors, the hanging trash island is reflected right side up. The island is made of discarded burlap, ake foliage from household decorations, office buildings, real estate staging companies, a shell chandelier, inflatable palm trees from office buildings being emptied in San Francisco. A plastic skeleton from a former odd fellows hall lurks in the lower corner. “Et in arcadia ego” is Latin for “even in paradise, I am there” or “And in Paradise I am also” which refers to a personified Death, here represented amongst the fake tropical plants by a plastic skeleton.
