We had a wonderful conversation with fantasy writer Philip Womack.

Philip talks about myths and children’s literature and his views on AI, imagination, and why reading still matters in a distracted age.

It's spooky month!
Which side are you on?

Team Shelley or Team Stoker?

Of course it's always very valid to be on both!

You disagree with someone, your weapon of choice should be thoughtful and steady aimed argumentation. Develop your verbal marksmanship through education, through reading.

Did you know that Shakespeare’s Third Folio is actually rarer than the First Folio?

Because most of the Third Folio was destroyed during the Great Fire of London in 1666.

Diving deep into #ancientgreece and enjoying it immensely.

Our time is not so unique or developed as we might think. There is a lot to be learned from the past.

For the love of all that is good in this world do NOT buy books from Amazon. Cancel your Amazon accounts.
Go to the Library (in person or online ebooks!) and support local bookstores instead. Please #BookSky don’t be ambivalent

If you are a lover of the great classic books, you are, sadly, a minority.

But it also makes you extremely valuable to humankind.

Handwritten letter by Jane Austen to her sister Cassandra, 1811.

I am reading one Jane Austen novel every year. 2024 was Pride & Prejudice, this year will be Emma.

Don’t put modern-day politics onto a book from the past.

It was another time, another mindset.

Instead, learn from the past. Put yourself into the time that the book describes. Use that knowledge to better yourself & the world around you.

On the bus home from the after-party, I sat next to an upcoming actor named Andy Serkis. (continues below)
