Surely they were expecting to raise more than $61K from this endeavor. (Not throwing shade, I bought some tickets, happy they tried, too bad it didn't work out better for them.)
A screenshot from the Toronto International Film Festival's 50/50 draw website indicating that the winner of tonight's draw will win $61,068, which implies that the festival raised the same amount. That amount will likely increase somewhat before the deadline.
