On Sunday, November 16th over 20 students, faculty and staff from TMU took on the 1,776-step CN Tower Climb Up challenge to raise funds for the United Way Greater Toronto. By the end of the climb, the TMU team had raised nearly $7,000 to support United Way’s work across the Greater Toronto Area.

Transit goers may notice that the subway station at Yonge and Dundas is starting the transition to its new name, TMU Station.

The name change is part of a new partnership called the Transit Innovation Yard, announced earlier this year when the TTC agreed to rename Dundas Station to TMU Station.

TMU is set to open a new 21-storey student residence on Bond Street and Dundas Street East, targeted for 2030. When it’s ready, it will add over 1,370 student beds and include two large classrooms on the lower level.
