That is exciting. He is a very distant relative of mine. Attached are a couple of pages of family tree research that my grandpa (also an Edinburgh surgeon) accumulated that include the Bell section. Knowing my grandpa I'd expect it to be accurate.

It is miraculous that the photo issued today is almost (there are a couple from her boat race days) the only one online, even pages down into a Google search. And I'm pretty sure it will be old, so not currently representative. Tremendous discipline.
