You have to be careful this time of year. If you leave bananas out gooseberry mites will start climbing all over them before you know it. They're very hard to get rid of once established.

Am I the only one that thinks gooseberries look like little spiky elephant creatures?

I had the distinct displeasure of needing to go into a petstore the other day. If you ever want to see the depravity of humanity and ease with which we noramlise unethical treatments and display them in bright lights look no further than the for sale section.

A buddy of mine gave me a tabletop easle that fits my iPad. I highly recommend it. I did a quick value study after setting it up!

Honestly I think it helped me see values better owing to less glare. Not to mention my neck doesn't hurt after an hour of painting.

I've been thinking about what to start my bluesky account with painting wise and this is the winner: A Eurasian blue tit I did back in 2022. It was just a quick study but it has an undeniable charm to it that I haven't been able to capture since.
