During the COVID shutdown in 2020, I began working from home just like millions of people around the world. My wife and I turned our bedroom into a home office, using a folding card table as our desk. It worked, but it jutted out too far from the wall, making it awkward to walk around. My solution? I had some random sized strips of cedar, walnut, oak, yellow pine, and poplar wood that I had accumulated from some of my very first woodworking projects.

And now for something un-politics, I'm happy to say I finished building my first shave horse! Thanks to Pete Galbert for the plans, although deciphering them was sometimes a puzzle. Sure does make spindle-making a whole lot easier than doing it with planes on my bench.

My first post on this platform. I am a dad, husband, Lutheran pastor (ELCA). I enjoy cooking, playing racquetball, running, and hand tool woodworking - especially chairs. The chair below is one of my favorite creations. I use it every day in my office.
