It also has so many themes it engages in, and engages in them incredibly well. Like all good sci-fi, it looks into our future to say something about our present. Weird science that says something fundamental about humanity.

I'm going to be thinking about this one for awhile.

I saw a post that said it was a story that could only be told as a game, but I don't think that's true. I think it's a story excellently told within the medium it is told in.

Could it be a great novel, comic, tv show? Absolutely. But it makes itself better for being a game. Masterfully done.
