By bombing Iran now, Israel is shoring up the Islamic Revolution by giving it an external enemy to point at. (Great way not to get regime change!)

And even if there is a new Iranian revolution, the resulting polity will not be friendly to people who hated them for decades then bombed them.

It's perfectly possible for a corrupt, ailing regime to be desperately unpopular and hated by its people—to the point of inducing rebellion—and yet for the nation to rally against an external threat. And the USA (and Israel) have set themselves up as such an external threat wrt. Iran.

Anyway, the main takeaway here is the same as it ever was: block early, block often, block anyone who even seems like they might be annoying. There’s no interpersonal moderation here so you are the ban-happy moderator you’ve been waiting for
