I am a Regean Democrat he turned me into a Democrat. Long family of Republicans. A grandfather who worked for one of our Republican Governors and was friends with former Senator Don Nichols. I saw the writing on the wall back then. When Jerry Falwell was welcomed in.

I look forward to listening to him on podcast, just disagree about this show. I haven’t enjoyed a TV show this much in awhile. But for me it’s all about the characters all of them

It was quite a central scene in one episode, but maybe having a LGBTQ child brings a different view to that scene. I as a mother of a child who feels what carol feels that scene was an ah-moment for me as to who carol is and how she sees a world she doesn’t trust and has been hostile to her.

Best show on TV and I do find it interesting how people talk about complex female characters as opposed to men. Like for example the men on Mad Men. Carol is a gay woman sent to conversion camp. Maybe her reaction to these people might be irritation🤷♀️

I think that depends on what state you live in. In Oklahoma you definitely heard similar things minus the Hitler stuff and I am in my 60’s and was a republican at 18. I switched parties at 22, because for me the Republican Party was always headed to where they are now.

That is my memory and my conservative father and liberal me both agreed his father should get custody of his child.
