I remember thinking that metal detectors are the coolest machine ever invented. The squeaky noises felt otherworldly.

Now, with the hundreds IG/tiktok videos where someone uses them on a beach, it has kinda lost its vibe.

Yesterday, I finally watched a video. And another. And another. The front page is flooding with videos from people I've never heard of. Suddenly, ALL of the videos on the front page seem interesting enough to watch them.

So yeah, delete your history, if you're bored on YouTube.

So I just deleted it all. I subscribe to all of my favourite creators, I wouldn't lose track of them. Just delete the history, reset the algorithm and try all over again.

For a few days, I actually didn't watch anything. I was afraid that the few first videos would skew it it a lot.

However, the algorithm kept feeding me the same few creators and the same few videos over and over again. It was impossible to just come across a new creator and escape the bubble. I kept refreshing the front page, hoping that it would feed me something _new_, but it never did.
