Hey cool! I'm working on something similar. Also in Godot. Would be interesting to compare notes :) Are you using Jolt or Godot physics?

Just figured out how to make men in Godot. Nothing can stop me now

6 years ago @loa-gunnars.bsky.social and I released this little party game that you can play on a single phone. Somehow people are still finding and playing it and it's more popular than ever. We're very grateful for this and are planning to release some updates and content for it soon!

Been learning godot with this little project. Very early still but it's been fun to throw these interactable things together

But it turned out that he was into it! He made an incredible deck of references and sketches before we even had our first real meeting. Joon and I were blown away and immediately knew we had to hire him. We put together a pitch deck with the prototype and some of Joost's early sketches.

Soon I made a simple time-trial shell around it, implemented ghost replays, and a few tracks. @joonturbo.bsky.social and I had just finished NUTS and were thinking about what we wanted to do next and were having a lot of fun going back and forth beating each other's times in this little prototype.

For the past 2.5 years I've been working on something completely different to anything else I've ever made. In 2020 I was messing around with some vehicle physics ideas and put together a prototype of a game with these ships that stick to a track but can also fly when they go off jumps.
