Mom. Teacher. Fierce Advocate. Accomplice.
Rather impressive he kept hold of his cell phone in one hand and gun in the other all while being hit hard enough to cause internal bleeding. /sarcasm

It was popular before No Child Left Behind, but it was politically reinforced around the same time period. If you are interested, Sold a Story is a podcast about this exact topic. It is both fascinating and infuriating.

Feeding my own children is the most important thing, and I won’t apologize for that. I’m sorry you can only find advocacy in hate and name calling. That is unlikely to get us anywhere. I will continue to show up and advocate everyday while you waste your time criticizing strangers on the internet.

You have a pride flag in your username and attack one of the people working to keep LGBTQ+ students safe. Don’t talk to me about cowardice. People are leaving this profession in droves due to constant hate, but by all means add to it because you think a strike is more important.

I’m not risking my teaching license. That is how I feed my children. Teachers hold up enough of society. Why not call on lawyers, accountants, real estate agents, bankers? Our society already runs on the sweat and hard work of underpaid and under appreciated teachers.

Teachers in most states are not allowed to strike.

Rockland estimated 1700!

I think this kind of misses the mark. Given the numbers I’m seeing, it should say Tens of thousand or at least over ten thousand.

Well now I don’t even see the post, so ignore me! I was late arriving in Rockland, so I’m not sure if anyone spoke.

It looks like Hannah Pingree was in Bangor. She mentioned both Bangor and Rockland in her post, but the pictures didn’t look like Rockland.

Abbotts decision, knowing what Blue State Gov's will do in response, is the death nell to this nation.

This is essentially war between parties & states now. Currently it would be considered a cold war between left & right. But it wont take but a few matches to ignite a hot war... a civil war.

I’m not even positive there is a pamphlet. There seems to be zero plan!

The only place offering swim lessons near us is our local Y. The cost is $200 for 8 lessons. I have 3 children, and they’ve each participated in a couple sessions, but it takes more than a session or two to become a proficient swimmer. The cost really makes swim lessons inaccessible.

I think it’s pretty clear that neither side is actually listening to the people. Democrats attacking a mayor candidate elected by the democrats of NY is appalling. They are too comfortable with the status quo, and we need radical change.

She’ll vote no as long as it will still pass. She’s demonstrated time and time again that she will cave if she’s the deciding vote. Her approval rating is 14%. You would think that would get her attention.

I completely recognize that the majority of Americans voted for T. Luckily, the first amendment still stands, and those of us who do not like him are within our right to say so. I do not say things such as T isn’t right for the Republican Party because that Party has made it clear he is.

Sorry, I’ll clarify. The majority voted for him.

It blows my mind how many people want to completely ignore that the people clearly think he’s the right choice. After all, they voted for him!
