Why do you think they’ll need Democratic votes? I agree that the Dems absolutely should take the fight to them here, but with reconciliation and a house majority (albeit a slim one), it seems like Republicans can pass whatever they want with no Democratic votes. Right?

Or, hear me out here, instead, reach out to Alan and affirm his concerns as valid and tell him that there’s a party that will actually work on his behalf, support law enforcement, and build a stronger economy. Don’t treat him as dumb for his vote. What matters most is that we win him over.
