How quick can you rack up the points, actually? I read it takes 2000 points but got no clue how many races it would take (not sure what the point distribution is).

Star Fox 2 still remains my favourite game in the franchise because of its "real time" map system and the short but sweet battles in between the bigger areas.

Surprises me no one tried to replicate SF2's map system yet (to my knowledge) for another game.

Hmm, haven’t heard anything about DSPico at all. Got any news about it?

Ah, I wasn’t aware the Pico is relatively power hungry. Definitely makes it less usable - let alone for an original DMG or GBA. 😬

I’d personally be interested for a modern alternative to a GB flashcart. Krikkz makes good stuff from what I heard, but I’d love to support an open source system or something made with much more common parts like the Pico wholeheartenly. Especially for a Pocket or Game Boy Player. (end)

(in addition to SD card) or just FPGA-like systems (Analogue or more so the recent other smaller parties putting out GB(C) FPGAs or an open source GB(C/A) FPGA which I forgot the name of that takes in cartridges.

Not to mention people still modding GameCubes and running Game Boy Interface… (2)

I’m gonna be honest: I’ve been out of the non-emulation retro gaming scene for a while since COVID hiked prices on *everything*.

Despite that, I’m more and more looking into handhelds that aren’t the widespread emulation handhelds but more so higher quality ones that still take carts… (1)

Is there any such alternative for Game Boy (Advance) by any chance? 👀

Any chance this gets a Linux release too? Seeing the Windows window decoration worries me it’ll remain locked to Windows-systems. 😬

Definitely let SDL contributors know any things you know about Rumble etc. I think the initial SDL3 implementation still misses some features.

Got to appreciate the hard shadows - reminds me a lot of how the classic Majora’s Mask character artwork looked like. zeldawiki.wiki/wiki/Gallery...
