I prefer birding field books since Merlin id isnt always accurate and id books show off the field markings well! Worth it if you arent good with the app

Ferrus look similar but lack the distinct tummy band red taileds do, and are a bit scruffier looking, i think its a red tailed when comparing. Depending where you live one may be more common, too.

I like to use a touch of acrylic for shininess! Plain watercolour is really tricky for that, you did a splendid job!
