abandoned hand-pieced Dresden plate quarter blocks acquired! they had to be laundered before sale & thus are a bit wonky, so i probably won't be using them for a quilt. they might make some nice throw pillows though.

my grandpa was captain of the Multnomah dredge on the Columbia. i like to think you could find some miscellaneous thing he dropped back in the 40's. (gramps is the dapper gent on the left, photo from Jan 1948 issue of Popular Mechanics, Sandfighters of the Columbia)

i was able to get to it by going to my content librarh & searching. for the moment, it still allows me to download from there.
