They were offering 20-30K above asking price, so we couldn’t compete, even though we were paying in cash. We finally found a house whose owners were also refusing to sell to corporations. Sellers need to refuse to sell to any corporate entity, and specify private buyers who are looking for a home.

In 2018 Hubby and I decided to sell our house and buy a smaller one. We were adamant that we would only sell it to an individual, and no corporations would be considered. We sold it, but had trouble finding another house because companies were snatching them up within 5 minutes of being listed.

Something in this video flickered a vivid memory from my childhood. I was in Elementary school during the “burn your bra” era in the early 70’s. I asked my mom to buy me a bra so I could burn it. I suppose I have always been a women’s rights advocate.
