DBPM is just BPM - OBPM. BPM has a different coefficient for assists for big men while OBPM doesn’t. Jokic’s DBPM is high because he’s a center leading the league in assists.

There’s a weird area of the draft in the 5-10 range where there are guys with talent but serious flaws. The 8 pick is always in the range. Collin Sexton is inexplicably one of the best #8s. 11-15 is probably better in most drafts. More settling for high floors with occasional ceiling breakthroughs.

There is resistance to “luck” because it necessarily conflates things that may be causal but not (yet) measured. How much is truly random versus what can be semi-predictable.
