There was a chance to keep her in the ICU to see if she improved with another chest tap, but I didn't want to take it.

It was very sudden, but I'm glad I was there to stabilize her. It just didn't feel right to me to put her down on one of her 'good days' because even at 20 she was eating well, wanting lots of snuggles and enjoying life. Idk. It's heartbreaking.

I think my mind is just so exhausted after 7 months of daily severe anxiety of "today's the day" after her being diagnosed with severe HCM, so I constantly had to be on guard just in case. Then the grief... I was doing okay for a month. The day of her heart attack keeps replaying in my mind.

Same. My mom would bring me and my sister to her workplace and leave us with a stack of office paper and crayons/pencils. If iPads were around back then, maybe I wouldn't be an artist. Who knows.
