Strip 222. As huge muscular Ocean Otter examines a tiny purple bowtie, Pride Possum continues talking to salesman Girard Giraffe. Girard: "Well, we might not have anything that will fit him off-the-rack … but we can certainly tailor something to fit." Pride, looking hesitant: "I dunno … That sounds kinda expensive." Girard: "Nonsense, sir! For the quality, our prices are extremely comparable to any competitors! For exampe, that article there starts at a mere $2999.99." Pride gasps in panic at the price.

Shoutout to Sergeant Benton (actor John Levene) from classic Doctor Who. I always liked this guy. A recurring character during the UNIT years from 1968-75, he was cast as the "everyman" in the British military, never quite understanding what was going on but loyal to UNIT and the Doctor always. ❤️

LRP: My establishing panel is usually pretty uneventful, characters pretty relaxed, only small casual or expository dialog, because I'm setting up the scene. Real dialog, expression, and action kick in with more focused panels as the story unfolds.

Strip 219. Ocean Otter and Pride Possum stand inside the Big & Tall Formalwear Depot. Pride: "Oh, look there! They have a bigger & taller secion in the back!" Ocean: "Sounds promising to me!" Pride disappears offscreen while Ocean waits. Ocean returns carrying a blue dinner jacket on a hanger. "Here's the biggest suit I could find!" They both look doubtful as Ocean holds the suit up, and it barely covers his chest, much less his shoulders. Pride: "Hmm. Might be a bit snug."
