We are a Welsh Charity who collect donated tools including sewing machines. Together with a partner in Tanzania, we provide tools and training to rural artisans in some of the most underdeveloped areas of the country. Reg Charity 1055483 tfsrcymru.org.uk

What tools do we sell?
1. Tools not requested in Tanzania, eg gardening tools
2. Antique tools for which spare parts are not generally available
3. Tools that are not robust enough for a busy workshop in Tanzania
4. Tools that are in little demand and we have too many in stock, eg Junior hacksaws.

In December we ran a fully residential certificated two week training course in Tanzania for 30 young people. The courses were for Repair and Maintenance of motorcycles and sewing machines. #Training #Tools

Our latest shipping container is on its way to Tanzania, filled with many thousands of tools and hundreds of sewing machines.These will be cleaned & sharpened (obvs not the s/m) and distributed to rural artisans in Lake Zone and Tanga region. #GoodToolsChangeLives

If you have an old black Singer a sewing machine gathering dust in your attic or feeling unused in your home why not help change a rural tailors livelihood by donating it to TFSR Cymru.

Our new workshop at Kalwande College was inaugurated in October funded by us from the sale of refurbished garden tools bought by the public. Diolch yn fawr pawb!

Our latest shipping container will be leaving soon for Dar es Salaam filled to the brim with tools of all description and a couple of hundred sewing machines. These will be refurbished by our wonderful staff at Kalwande and distributed to the more rural parts of Lake Zone, Tanzania.
