I see Bluesky is a 'Public Benefit Corporation'. What does that really mean? Will I start seeing ads in the future? Kind of sounds like.... maybe yes.

I read the Bluesky privacy Policy. Kind of cryptic. Oh, well, I'll give it a try.

And I don't like the way that people feel locked in to it - so thoroughly invested. And I would hope that there is a way to connect to people without my data being used (and shared) to generate profits - Is Bluesky that way?

I just signed up for Bluesky. Why? I have accounts on FB and Linkedin but have never used them much. I don't like the ads that come my way, I don't like the kissing up to the Orange Man that FB (and Mark Z) is engaging in.
