No child should be afraid to go to school. AB 49 and SB 98 will protect California students and families from unlawful ICE abuse. As Governor, I will always stand up for immigrant families who just want the chance to work, pay taxes, & safely attend school.

Very proud to speak at yesterday’s signing of two critical bills I sponsored to protect immigrant families like the one I grew up in. AB 49 keeps ICE off school campuses and SB 98 ensures families get notified by school districts when ICE is nearby.
