Walking in to work today at a liberal college campus in MA, I saw a swastika drawn in the snow, among other juvenile things. It shook me big time - I don’t think someone on my campus actually is a nutsy, but I do think they thought drawing a swastika was funny. That’s almost more terrifying IMO.

Welcome to the new normal.

Hatred will continue to be normalised under the guise of plausible deniability, the boundaries will be slowly shifting incrementally. Eventually the hatred will become overt, yet by then we’ve grown so accustomed to the slow and insidious drip that any change driven by outrage comes too late

If it wasn’t a Nazi salute, he would have said so. He would have decried Nazis, who are loudly thanking him for what he did. He wouldn’t be celebrating MTG’s threats toward NPR.

This is not “crying wolf”, Elon, it’s calling a spade a spade.
