World Series, here we come.

The Bears should work with the City of Gary and the state of Indiana to make it happen. Chicago and Illinois are not really working with the Bears, almost calling their bluff. Would be awful to lose them to Indiana just as their winning window is opening.

Didn't the Red Sox do that with Betts?
January 16, 2026 at 4:53 PM
With a ceiling involved, the Dodgers cannot pursue those players as they will be capped out. Teams like the five mentioned then have a shot to pay those free agents just to hit their cap floors.

All owners can spend. But the player can only choose one team. If all offers were equal, do you think the player goes to sunny L.A. year round, or moves to Pittsburgh or Cleveland? The Mets and Blue Jays took runs at Tucker. He signed with LA. What more could the Mets and Jays have done?

A salary cap will do that too. Seriously, the ceiling and floor is for the fans. I don't care about owners and players. I care for the fans of the White Sox, A's, Ray's, Royals, Pirates. They have no shot, zero, with the current system in place. Need a floor too.
January 16, 2026 at 3:46 PM
No offense, but that is antiquated thinking. MLB needs a salary CEILING and a salary FLOOR. So all owners must spend. The talent will then be distributed more evenly. The Dodgers are not "strategically" winning championships. They are buying them. Let the other 26 fanbases have a shot with the cap

Ken won’t answer because Ken is part of the problem. He needs scoops from agents and interviews with players. He should be working for the fans, not the MLBPA or agents. 25 fanbases have no shot at winning. Ken ignores that to keep making his money. No balls to say salary cap needed.

Salary Cap coming

I would love for the Bears to play in Chicago. But it does not appear the city, nor state, really want to negotiate with them. If Northern Indiana is willing to pay for some of this, how could the Bears not look into that? And just as we are getting good, we could lose them to Indiana. Not smart

Do people still listen to sports radio?
January 15, 2026 at 2:24 AM
I dislike making deals just to hit the salary floor. That is how I am reading this deal. If I am wrong, please correct me. I prefer signing a decent free agent or two to hit the floor. This does not appear to improve our on ice product.
January 8, 2026 at 8:59 PM
So is this deal just to get up to the salary floor?
January 8, 2026 at 8:57 PM
Two words: Salary Cap.

Sounds like he did not pull a Dan Quinn and throw his staff under the bus. Good on Harbaugh.

I am at Hawks game in Nashville that night. Does Amazon Prime allow for the game to be watched after?

Maybe. With them you never know. Could win by 20, could lose by 20, could win by 2, could lose by 2. Total unknown with this team.
January 5, 2026 at 12:34 AM
Yet we are 11-5. Bears offense appears to play better after halftime if you have not yet noticed.

What about GM openings and possible hires there?
January 3, 2026 at 1:55 PM
In your opinion, what is the biggest omission?
January 2, 2026 at 2:29 PM
I am not disagreeing with you, just saying the Chiefs seem to have a bit more instances of this behavior than other teams. But they all have issues.
