Jacob Frey is a conservative in disguise and the LAST thing this city needs. How could you endorse such a feckless moderate at a time like this? We need a leader who can move this city forward, not enforce the status quo.

I mean, it depends on what you mean—what you call “radical” healthcare policies could very well be a good ideal to pursue. With how far to the right US politics have shifted compared to the rest of the developed world, I don’t think there’s much harm in pushing yourself as far left as is reasonable.

I guess I agree? We shouldn’t become more extreme than we are JUST for the sake of being contrarian, but we also must remember that actual progressive, humanistic values have been and will continue to be classified as extreme by conservatives (including moderate Dems). We cannot be pulled right.
