Now we've had 20 of the first 24 days of this month which have seen a record surface temperature for those days of a year. We're in a la Nina and temperature is in record territory. I'm hoping climate scientists will be able to explain this soon.

Fourteen of the first eighteen days of January 2025 have been the warmest of those particular days on record (ERA5). This doesn't augur well for 2025 being cooler than last year.
