#Autistic #author of novels such as Hope's Peak, Blood On The Prairie, and The Girl Between. Father. Husband. Read good books, listen to great music and LLAP🖖
So close to being done* with this current book, HER TURN NOW.

My 20th book!

I've written about so much horrible shit, I think it's time to write that cosy small-town romance I've been circling for years.
Question is whether to use a pen name...

*are they ever truly done?

This from @michaelchabon.bsky.social resonates so much.
In lockdown I wrote four westerns under contract to Penguin RH - write-for-hire - to put food on the table. You do what you have to. Each was written over 3 months, which is crazy fast.

I'll be self-publishing the first book in a brand-new series on Amazon around mid-August. It'll be available in paperback and on kindle.
It's called Badlands - Book 1 of 'The Periphery War' and I've been plugging away at it for MONTHS.
Currently on the third draft 😣 #writing #writingsky #spacefleet

I've always wanted to have the Death's Head Moth from the Silence of the Lambs poster tattooed...and today I did it.

"Fly, fly, fly."

'Trying to write about a Bruce Springsteen concert without reinforcing the man's reputation for scarcely believable stage performances is like trying to cross the Atlantic in a paper yacht. Do it and you're sunk.'

Somebody at Springsteen HQ, can we please get the official audio for Brighton, 1981, so that I can finally ditch the bootlegs?

'Exile Island' is a project I first alluded to on the @ndafshow.bsky.social podcast.
Set in Alaska, it's a mystery thriller that has evolved to include elements of horror.
I decided to make it exclusive to Wattpad.
May 22, 2025 at 6:29 AM
Chapter 5 of 'Exile Island' is now up on Wattpad.
New chapters Mondays and Thursdays.

In this scene, the true horror of what is about to happen in the small town of Raven's Hollow becomes abundantly clear.

Dropped off signed copies of my stuff at the local book hut.
A few other books I'm finished with too that need new homes.

I forgot that everything has a way of coming around

Is there any point in all of this?

There are better editions out there, but this is *my* copy of ON WRITING by @stephenking.bsky.social that I bought 20+ years ago at Borders. I've re-read it many times. Referred back to it. Turned to it for wisdom and common sense.
I've since written 12 books.
Thanks, Steve.
