I always put the toilet seat down - even in men's public toilets when it's often up! d;o)
December 17, 2025 at 12:45 PM
All public toilets should be disability friendly gender neutral toilets.

I have a 100% electric car (Nissan Leaf) and love it! I can see that it's really only practical if you've got your own charger and driveway so until solar and battery tech improve its not a practical solution for everyone and we need to keep the petrol/diesel/hybrid option open until we have.

I lost my phone in the house somewhere once @callybeaton.bsky.social and used my smart watch to call it to find it. I could hear it but couldn't work out why the tone wasn't getting louder or quieter when i walked all round the house. Then it dawned on me it was in my back pocket!! d;o)

Totally this @marina-purkiss.bsky.social! Capitalism is the problem with society!!

COVID Lockdown told kids was optional because they didn't have to go to school when government didn't want them to so now I guess they think they can stay away when they want to?

Everyone I've heard this morning, like me, went to school before lockdown so believed school attendance was mandatory.

My dad tells me that he was given a "school bike" to get to school because he lived further away so this used to happen anyway. 🤷🏼‍♂️

PS - He is 89 and rides his bike into town every day!

Totally Radzi - Capitalism is the problem with society!! 👏👏👏

Imho the only way forward for teachers is to create programmes of learning that can be delivered by high level assistants and have teams of both that cover all the children in a year. That way noone's tied to a classroom for a whole week and teachers and assistants could become interchangeable.

Get away! Who'd have thought retail outlets weren't just in the business of helping us spend less money on stuff?

C'mon Storm, you're better than this!
November 25, 2025 at 11:33 AM
Then that's perfect - Just think maybe there's some vulnerable people that have to pay and some not so vulnerable that will get it free. Also i would think admin wise it might be easier if everyone pays unless you can demonstrate you deserve it and some people may not want to tell people they do?
November 13, 2025 at 6:18 PM
Charge for the jab and give vulnerable people a voucher for a flu jab. 🤷🏼‍♂️

How can we have a minimum WORKING wage and then say oh it's ok we can get away with paying WORKERS less than that? 🤷🏼‍♂️
November 12, 2025 at 11:51 AM
Totally with you @marina-purkiss.bsky.social.

Think the word we're grasping for here is "fairness".

What kind of person with so much money begrudges sharing with someone who has nothing or very little?.

The only issue should be making sure the money or service gets to those who need the help. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Lovely! Must have been a special one @callybeaton.bsky.social to be able to capture it on the phone and through a car window! I always find the camera never does the ones I take proper justice.

Also what about wave power? We're surrounded by the stuff! While we're at it we could make it a dual purpose facility and desalinate the water or whatever we need to do to make it usable. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Solar and more efficient batteries is the only future for electricity. Every roof in the nation should be covered in panels.
October 29, 2025 at 11:50 AM
They should have changed the constitution and made it winner stays on when they had O Bama!
October 29, 2025 at 11:47 AM
It'd be winner stays on too, not like US terms. Just think they might still have had O' Bama!

It's time the Royal Mafia was drop-kicked into the Thames along with the whole of Wasteminster and we started again. Instead of elections I'd have Big Brother (TV show not the 1984 novel) with evictions and at the end we'd have a popular leader and trust them to choose some good advisors.

I'm a massive Bond fan - have been ever since i saw my first Bond him at the pictures "The Man with the Golden Gun" and started reading the books - age 10 or 11. (My favourite bond film till Casino Royale)

Of course there should be ratings and content warnings like any other film or tv show now! 🤷🏼‍♂️

Janet from Merseyside is spot on. When i learned that 3000 calories is a lb of fat it changed my life. The NHS website will give you all the information you need based on how much weight you want to lose in a week but i found 1 1/2 lb a week was fine.

Makes you wonder @callybeaton.bsky.social what his mum was "taking" when she was pregnant with him!

Seriously, have you heard of FASD? I have an adopted son with that condition and he has brain damage that can be caused if a woman drinks alcohol at any time during the duration of her pregnancy.
