This years’ fight against Big Thanksgiving was successful, again.

We picked up our 18 lb turkey today (Friday) and the listed price was ~$5.38. It rang up at the register as $0.29. Not kidding.

It was delicious.

Lunch was fantastic — an upscale Italian place called Maggiano’s. It may be too expensive to go back every time we visit Philly, but I can dream about lasagna.

So, today: we went in to Philly to visit the Mint. Not the Franklin Mint, the real Federal mint. We make coins here. I kinda wish we made paper money, but it is what it is.

Our Thanksgiving day holiday will include the playing of “Alice’s Restaurant”.
