Peak Paul Kelly. Maybe he didn't know what he had with the Coloured Girls. I'm sure in retrospect, he fully appreciates them. Like all great bands that flesh out the songs of great writers (see The Attractions, E Street Band et al) Paul never achieved the palette of sounds that this band gave him.

Has Japan allowed references to Shinto nationalism (banned after the end of WW2) to persist at Shinto cultural sites ? They are careful now, but wasn't always the case.

Nice work. I like to make high temp. silicone gaskets for my motorcycles using the paper gasket as the template. Scalpel and a steady hand.

Still my favourite REM album. This, and Life's Rich Pageant marked the point where they made their most alluring, gorgeous and interesting music. This was before they had to come up with stadium filling riffing - the standard was still high, but many songs lacked the nuance and strange allure.

We will be in Dharamshala, home of this beautiful ground. I remember an AUS / IND Test being played there in 2017.

Enjoy your trip. This time next week we will be boarding for our trip to India. We have tried twice in the past to get there but were prevented by unforseen circumstances. Third time lucky.
