The UK needs to become more like countries in other European nations where legislation exists to limit to foreign companies buying more than 49% of a home based firm. This is a problem for us when larger US companies see a smaller UK company and buy it out completely.

Comparing @gbnewsonline.bsky.social with @news.sky.com is ridiculous. Sky News is a reputable news organisation with correspondents and bureaux across the UK and around the world. GB"News" is just a vehicle for promoting the interests of Paul Marshall and Reform UK Ltd. And all done on the cheap.

But putting a young woman on screen to recount such a terrible ordeal is just another form of abuse only this time it's for ratings and the prurient entertainment of #GBNews viewers.
I am no longer surprised by just how low #GBNews is prepared to sink to prop up it's meagre viewing figures.

#PatrickChristys seems to believe that his raison d'etre is to attack all asylum seekers and isn't prepared to let common decency get in the way. I assume the perpetrator of this vile crime is now in Prison and will be deported. And that is how it should be.

Ever since (K)GBeebies launched they've had a Meghan Markel fixation.
I didn't catch the jest of what was being talked about but they were ranting about her and Harry again this afternoon.
Personally I would love to see them step over the line, spout something libellous and then be sued mercilessly.

IF this story is genuinely true then Farage and his band of wrong 'uns must think our Scottish cousins are as thick as a bowl of mince n' tatties.
I can't see any 'Jocks' falling for a brainless scheme such as this.
So Scotland don't let us down.
December 6, 2025 at 11:10 PM
I disagree. Farage has looked over the pond and seen the grift and open corruption that has so enriched the Trump's. Nigel must fancy some of that. Like when he started pushing for Britain to be a global hub for Cryto currency. Trump has made millions in a short time so why not some for Farage?

And GBeebies have the brass neck to say "we're proud of our journalistic standards at GB News". What journalistic standards. They've wheeled out this quote so often that the quote itself is as big a laughing stock as the channel itself

I read in one of the more reputable journals that Paul Marshall is worth about £900mn. Even with reserves of that order, writing cheques for more than £30mn each year to cover your propaganda vehicles losses must really sting after a while. I know I couldn't and wouldn't keep doing it.

Shame on this @uklabour.bsky.social Govt. for caving into Trumps demands for higher drug prices for the NHS. The UK NHS is a cash cow for American big pharma. When the NHS places an order there is always the add on's and repeat orders that go with it.
Streeting should tell the Yanks to F#ck Off!

As a former Head of Downing St. Comms, Robbie Gibb knows that when he became a player in the story it was time to leave the BBC. The longer he stays as a Director at the Corporation he will be putting his own interests above the organisation he works for.
Of course he could go back to (K)GB "News".

IF GB"News" don't like it when senior @uklabourparty.bsky.social MP's refuse to appear on their channel, they should start treating Labour and other centre left parties fairly.
In the meantime and until GBeebies change their ways, NO LABOUR MP's SHOULD APPEAR ON GB "NEWS", EVER!

GB "News" is highly selective about the stats it uses to make the claims about it's popularity. The truth is BBC News and Sky News both have a greater reach than GBeebies but those GBN viewers, smaller in number but they stay tuned for longer. Never trust a GBeebies statistic.

I was taught that inciting racial hatred is crime in this country. Seems I was wrong. The Daily Mail, The Daily Telegraph, GB"News" Talk TV seem to believe it's fine to publish stories that only five years ago would have landed them in the dock.
Regulators need to look at themselves as well.

Harwood didn't forget that The Budget was shown on BBC2 he just chose to ignore it.
Also I'll bet he forgot to mention that the Budget was covered on ITV and SkyNews. For big events most people still go to BBC, ITV and then maybe Sky, but not GBeebies.
