Tangential, trivial & almost certainly bollox but I can't stop it rattling around my head so finally posting it here to exorcise. I wonder if Joseph Henrich's idea of WEIRDness is less Catholic Church banning cousin marriage & more recent post-WWII lib-dem norms. Caveat: I haven't read his book...

It’s very visible. Was jogging past not yet finished toilet and baby changing block in park today as workers were painting over, for second time, a wall-sized crap graffiti tag. The same was scrawled on new toilets in a park across town just weeks ago after council spent £1m to improve facilities.
